Frequently Asked Questions About Augusta Publishing Company’s Submission and Editorial Process
What is Augusta’s editorial philosophy?
We believe an author submits the very best of his or her craft. Authors of fiction determine plot, characters, and the storyline that will captivate an audience. Authors of nonfiction determine topic, diligently research material, and craft a work worthy of today’s discriminating market.
Once an author has submitted his or her best craft, we believe the editor’s job is to guide and suggest ways to bring the author’s craft to full potential. The editor guides an author in the very best telling of a story or creating maximum engagement with a work of nonfiction.
Our editorial goal is to produce works that appeal to the largest number of readers without compromising the author’s original vision. Therefore, our editorial process takes into account bringing out the very best in an author’s work while still having the work fit in today’s marketplace.
